info_1When it comes to lining paths you can't go far wrong with a shepherds crook and a hanging votive or jam jar.  It is also a brilliant device to lead guests to the entrance of your venue, or to the garden.  Wonderful florist Joanna Game put together these magical posies and alternated them with tea lights which look fab as the light fades.  Jo has decorated The Great Barn and looked after the flowers for many, many of our brides here and I can safely say she is one of the best florists in the South West.  Not only is she incredibly imaginative, the combination of colours and flowers are always just amazing.  Her arrangements never cease to take my breath away and she is very lovely too!

info_1 Take one simple, tall white candlestick, add a ribbon and a hydrangea head and your table is given an instant pop of colour and prettiness.  Our Clara Candlesticks have been chosen specifically because they are a good height and as they are white they will work with virtually any colour scheme.  Bring in your colour with ribbon and a seasonal bloom and intersperse them with lower arrangements or tea lights if you want more twinkly candle light.   A pillar candle will give them extra height, or a ball candle can look great too.  We have 12 in stock and they will work wonderfully lined down trestle tables or can take centre stage on a round table.  They'd also look amazing for a ceremony walk way and can then be popped on the table during the drinks reception or dotted around the venue to add atmosphere.

You can find more information about the Clara Candlestick and lots of other gorgeous things to decorate your table on our Inside Detail pages in our Hire Collection.

info_1 We were so excited when one of the top interior designers in the West Country, Josephine Burlingham, came down to put together this sumptuous table for us. Josephine used our Eloise lime wash chairs with linen seat pad, gorgeous antiqued gold cutlery, an eBay find, her Grandmother’s vintage gold rimmed plates by Crescent of England, some vintage blush glasses, another eBay find and some pretty spotty glasses from Laura Ashley. The once uninspiring metal urn, which she had gilded and aged, worked brilliantly to display the array of stunning pink and berry red  roses, alongside grapes, lychees and blackberries, cleverly held in place with wooden skewers and hair pins. What I love about this table is not only the detail, but also the gorgeous combination of rich colours. Just perfect for a really special dinner or a glamorous wedding.

Josephine is primarily an Interior Designer and stylist, but also offers an exclusive service to us at The Great Event where she can liaise with you and help come up with a scheme and styling suggestions for your big day. Get in touch with her and have a look at her amazing work.  Emma x
